i need an idea for a lawn tractor muffler?
i have a 18hp briggs twin motor and cut the muffler off about 2" after the flange that bolts to each head. a new muffler is around $80..way too much. i was thinking just getting those small round mufflers you find on push mower and putting one of those on each "post" coming off the flange that i cut previously. do youguys think that'll work? suggestions are welcome. thanks
Yes that will work. It may be a little louder though.Those aren't really mufflers but they are spark arresters. You can also buy a car muffler for it, that would be cheaper than $80.00.
