  can i put oil into my tractor and try to start it?
  

  from an answer that i got from a previous question, i believe my something happened to my tractor while mowing. the oil lever was dangerously low (it barely covered the tip of the dipstick).

  can i fill the oil up and try to start it? i dont care if it runs like crap, as long as it runs my dad wont beat me. lol

  It would be best to change the oil completely, but, filler up and go would be fine. Unless you already seized the engine. In that case, there's no way the engine will even turn over.
